Your Mission

Your mission is to architect and manage Cleeng infrastructure, supporting the strong growth of our transactional and analytical products. Our 10-year-old platform is highly scalable (able to process millions of transactions per hour and analyze TBs of data) and proven throughout our 11-year history, working for top-tier PPV events as well as large subscription platforms. We are fast-growing (subscriber and data processing doubles every year), and need someone who can lead the team and the infrastructure to the next level.

Position Overview

As a VP of Infrastructure and Data, you will lead and run a team of DevOps, DataOps and Data Analysts. We see your role as crucial for our future growth. Partnering with other development teams, you will maintain the technical architecture, build a technical strategy and then execute it. Your objective will be to make our platform more scalable, flexible and automated.
Working very closely with the CTO and other company leaders, the function can further grow into a more strategic function of the organization. 

Key Responsibilities

• Define technical vision, strategy, and guiding principles for Cleeng transactional infrastructure and data platform.
• Lead the Infrastructure & Data team (currently 5 FTE) and continue to build and cultivate a world-class solution and team.
• Partner with BI, Backend and Frontend teams, to align the infrastructure requirements, as well as provide leadership and governance.
• Be an effective spokesperson and champion for the Infrastructure & Data development team and Cleeng main stakeholders (internal or external).
• Work in a high pace environment and be able to act independently.

The ideal candidate should have the following Competencies:

• 5+ to 10 years experience in a similar position in a large tech organization
• Proven successful experience in leading and managing infrastructure teams working on AWS platform.
• Good understanding of how complex, modern infrastructures are built and managed – combining distributed serverless platforms with modular monolithic architecture, Infrastructure As Code, etc.
• Good knowledge of data platforms – deep understanding of concepts like Data Warehouse, Master Data Management, Star Schema, Machine Learning.
• Strong interpersonal, relationship and management skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Track record of innovative solutioning, problem-solving and providing guidance to junior employees.
