With a fast expanding SaaS & recurring business, we wish to strengthen our world-wide taxation processes and hire a dedicated Group Tax specialist. We want you to establish strong tax management & compliance, optimize current workflows and mitigate any potential tax risks. You will make a long-lasting and direct impact to the company, and contribute to creating an industry leader.

Your goal will be to manage world-wide taxation for both B2C and B2B sales (e.g. Sales Tax, OSS Vat), and also to secure tax activity related to business operations in the Netherlands, United States and Poland. You will work closely with the Cleeng finance team and report to the Group CFO. Next to this you will manage relations and engagements with a network of external advisors to establish the most efficient solutions within the global tax requirements.

• Overall responsibility for tax compliance and advisory for the Company
• Manage B2B/B2C related taxation (e.g. OSS VAT, Sales Tax, NL VAT returns),
• Optimize our tax processes that will allow business to mitigate any risk and provide innovative tax efficiencies
• Pro-actively support the company with tax advice when expanding into new territories,
• Ensure timely and correct tax reporting to authorities,
• Managing tax audits and identify structuring alternatives to manage issues that may give rise to future audits,
• Build strong and predictable reporting for any tax related topic,
• Monitor global tax compliance (incl. VAT/Sales Tax),
• Build and maintain partnerships with tax service advisors & authorities when required,
• Take an active role in potential client requests and questions related to tax matters.

• At least 5 years experience with direct and indirect taxation,
• Ideally a combination of experience that includes a global complex company that has scaled within the $10M - $100M+ range and operates internationally (US and EU in particular)
• Excellent ethics and integrity, backed by solid references,
• Experience with building tax strategy will be a plus,
• SaaS ecosystem knowledge will be a plus,
• Experience in working with Sales Tax and Avalara will be plus,
• Excellent English communication a must,
• Ease in managing external advisors.
