The job: Head of Business Development, US

With a fast expanding US business, we wish to strengthen our top-notch team of professional sales personnel and hire s a strategic Business Development Director. This position will be based in New York, reporting to the VP of Sales US.  You will work closely with our strategic distribution partners, such as Accedo, Brightcove, IBM, and 24i, with the goal of closing deals with top broadcasters (e.g. Sinclair, SKY, Canadian Broadcasting Channel, Altice and Quebecor), and sports federations (e.g. NHRA, Golden Boy, Tennis Channel).

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Create and nurture strong relationships with key strategic partners’ sales teams
  • Evangelize Cleeng products, and empower partners with the right sales arguments to effectively close large, enterprise deals
  • Develop new business channel opportunities targeted for major Media & Entertainment companies.
  • Identify, nurture and close new enterprise deals ($500k+ TCV)
  • Effectively influence and motivate internal cross-functional team members to drive account success.
  • Drive client reviews, meetings, and presentations at an executive level.

 

Our Requirements

  • You stand out from the crowd, in terms of business passion and professional experience. You want to make a long-lasting impact in the category, and contribute to creating a industry leader
  • You have the training and experience to manage a business relationship end-to-end: make/hold inspiring presentations, articulate business plans that meet client’s needs, ask the right questions, steer a negotiation with Enterprise Accounts
  • You have a proven track record in achieving your sales targets, selling SaaS products.
  • You know how to develop strong channel/partner relationships: building trust, supporting them when they need it, provide guidance and tools to help them win
  • You have experience selling high-value enterprise products to sports and/or media companies
  • You know how to work in a team: be a valued player, with a mix of professionalism and fun, yet drive your individual goals
  • You understand and appreciate our culture code, and want to contribute to it too in the long run

 

Preferred Work Experience & Education

  • Experience/Knowledgeable in the OTT Industry
  • BBA or MBA
  • Knowledge of, or experience with selling SaaS solutions to digital media, broadcasting, sports, or similar industries is a plus
  • Experience working in multicultural, international organizations with rapidly evolving products and business models
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication and organizational skills; extra language is a plus
  • Know what GSD means
