Remote Lead

Cleeng is at the beginning of one of the most exciting chapters in our company’s history. We’re transitioning to a hybrid model, with some employees working fully remotely from across the globe. We’re looking for a highly motivated, professional Remote Lead to help us design a remote-second culture. 

This person will report to our VP of HR  and will work closely with our leaders and managers in creating a work environment where people can do their best work and teams can thrive, regardless of their work location or work mode; in office, hybrid or remote. 

Mission of the Job

A Remote Lead ensures operational agility and durability as a workforce decouples business results from physical geography. It serves as a cross-functional internal consultant to evolve key pillars (e.g. learning & development, knowledge management, tooling, onboarding, and culture/informal communication) such that each function becomes more effective in a distributed setting.

Role Description and Responsibilities:

  • Provide the research and serve as the subject matter expert on the best options and practices about possible remote working models ( outstaffing, outsourcing, B2B, contract of employment)  in countries where Cleeng doesn’t have its legal entity
  • Collaborate with specialized freelancers and agencies that offer support with remote solutions (eg Landing.Jobs, Deel etc.)
  • Lead the creation of a high performance remote working culture by developing remote  operating principles, norms, and policies for the company
  • Create and collaborate on programs across the entire employee lifecycle in order to make them world class in a remote-first world (e.g. recruiting and HR processes)
  • Help build a remote environment where employees are motivated to do their best work and where we can still leverage the informal interactions and brainstorming that drive innovation
  • Promote cohesion among employees by experimenting with and implementing company events and  programs to bring people together 
  • Document and evangelize our remote model, helping us recruit and retain high performers from across the glob
  • Maintain and optimize the tooling stack to optimize Remote practices (GSuite, Confluence, Zoom)
  • Measure and optimize the adaptation of Remote practices by Cleengers through a data-driven approach.

  • Super organized, able to prioritize multiple initiatives in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment
  • A collaborative team player with outstanding interpersonal skills, and have the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be comfortable with public speaking and interacting with executive-level stakeholders

Work experience:

  • 3+ years of professional experience working remotely for a company, in related roles (e.g. people/culture operations, office operations, workplace services, employee communications, event management)
  • Deep familiarity with remote work collaborations tools on the market
  • Experience with business process, redesign, change management and communication activities
